Astana International University hosted a meeting with deputies of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan — Nartai Aralbaevich Sarsengaliev and Pavel Olegovich Kazantsev.

The purpose of the visit was to hold an open dialogue with young scientists, active students and the university's faculty. The meeting was held in an informal format, which allowed the participants not only to get acquainted with the position of the parliamentarians, but also to directly ask questions of concern, as well as make their own suggestions.

Pavel Olegovich Kazantsev was the first speaker. He spoke in detail about the results of the work on four key codes — digital, water, construction and Tax, which currently form the basis of the socio-economic development of the country. Special attention was paid to the new provisions of the Tax Code and their impact on the development of various fields, including education and science.

During the meeting, the President of Astana International University also expressed his position on the innovations in the Tax Code, noting that these changes directly affect the higher education system of the Republic of Kazakhstan and require careful analysis from the point of view of sustainable development of universities and support for the scientific and educational environment.

Next, Nartai Aralbaevich Sarsengaliev took the floor, who stressed the importance of direct dialogue with the population and noted that such meetings with representatives of the academic community and youth allow the Parliament to better understand the real needs of society and take into account the opinion of citizens when forming legislative initiatives.

The final stage of the event was a question–and-answer session, during which topical issues related to the development of state educational grants, support for young professionals and prospects for the development of higher education in the country were raised. The deputies gave detailed answers and outlined possible solutions to the voiced problems.

At the end of the meeting, active AIU students took joint photos with the guests, as well as received parting words and wishes for success in their studies, scientific activities and professional development.
