Admission procedure for double-degree educational programs  jointly with Beijing University of Language and Culture (BLCU)

To participate in the competition for the award of an educational grant of higher education at the expense of the republican budget and (or) enrollment in paid tuition for educational programs:

• 6B01711 – English and Chinese (B018 (KZ-CHN-185)),
• 6B02303 – Translation business: Chinese (B036 (KZ-CHN-185)),
• persons who have:

secondary, technical and vocational or post-secondary education,

UNT results are not lower:

• 55 points — Translation business: Chinese (B036 (KZ-CHN-185)),
• 75 points — for the direction "Pedagogical Sciences", English and Chinese (B018(KZ-CHN-185));

at the same time, according to:

• History of Kazakhstan and two core subjects — at least 5 points,
• reading and mathematical literacy — at least 3 points.

 When passing the UNT in electronic format, one of two results can be used to participate in the competition, provided that all score requirements are met.

Additional conditions:

• The HSK4 certificate is required.,
• or taking an additional Chinese language entrance exam at AIU University. (APPLICANTS WITH A NON-ZERO LEVEL OF CHINESE LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY ARE ALLOWED TO TAKE THE ADDITIONAL EXAM) The exam results can be viewed the next day after passing the exam. Following the results of the additional exam, an official statement is issued to the applicant.

To enroll in a paid branch — from July 21 to August 20.

The application for participation in the additional exam is submitted in accordance with the established scores.

On may 6, 2025, at 15:00, an extended meeting of the Scientific and Technical Council (STC) of the Astana International University will be held to discuss the doctoral thesis by Kairat Abdrakhmanov for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in the educational program "8D03101 International relation".

Dissertation topic: " Kazakhstan-Russia State Border: Current Issues of Cooperation and Key Directions".

From November 11 to 15, 2024 the Higher School of Economics is holding the Week of Finance in honor of the Day of the National Currency of the Republic of Kazakhstan. You can expect a round table on the theme “The national currency of Kazakhstan: a symbol of state independence”, a quiz “Your own game”, a competition of wall newspapers on the theme “Теңге – тәуелсіздік тірегі”. Guest lecture on the theme “Tenge-symbol of independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan”. Debate tournament on the resolution “Should Kazakhstan introduce additional taxes on excess profits of large corporations?”. November 15, 2024 will summarize the results of the Week of Finance.

Dear colleagues, teachers and students!

Astana International University informs that the information about the collapse of ceilings in the academic building at 46/1 Auezov Street is not true. Yesterday, as a result of a strong hurricane wind, several decorative polystyrene foam panels fell. This happened with the windows open, which were opened by the students themselves, despite the warning not to leave the building and not to open the windows during the storm warning.

The university's maintenance service quickly eliminated the incident: the windows were closed and the panels were returned to their place. The university management suggested that the dean transfer students to a remote format to ensure their safety. However, since the incident was immediately resolved and the classroom was brought into proper condition, the dean decided to continue teaching in person.

As for ventilation issues, we note that the windows were temporarily secured solely to prevent the risk of repeated damage during a hurricane wind. These measures were taken for the safety of students and teachers. At the same time, other ventilation means provide the necessary level of ventilation.

Astana International University continues to monitor the safety of the educational process and regularly conducts inspections of the infrastructure.
