ECO-PROJECTS OF THE SCHOOL OF GREEN ECONOMY AT HSE: A STEP TOWARDS A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE

As part of the activities of the School of Green Economy at the Higher School of Economics, a number of significant initiatives have been implemented, aimed at promoting the ideas of sustainable development, climate responsibility, and green entrepreneurship. Throughout the academic year, the following events were held:

🔹 Eco-projects within the School of Green Economy. Under the guidance of G.K. Baibash, student initiatives focused on fostering environmental awareness and developing project-based skills in the field of green economy were successfully carried out.

🔹 Intellectual Quiz “Own Game” on Green Economy. As part of Economics Week, an intellectual quiz was held among 3rd- and 4th-year students. Organized by G.T. Lesbayeva, the event helped deepen students’ understanding of ecological economics through an engaging, interactive format.

🔹 International Research Competition: “Green Economy in the Context of Climate Change: Challenges and Prospects”. Under the leadership of G.T. Lesbayeva and G.K. Baibash, a prestigious international research competition was held, attracting students and young researchers from various countries. The competition served as a platform for exchanging ideas and scientific approaches to addressing global environmental challenges.

🔹 International Scientific Project Competition “Green Horizons: Youth Scientific Initiatives in Economics and Entrepreneurship”. As part of a partnership with the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation and the Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I. Razzakov, an international competition was held where young researchers presented innovative solutions in the field of green business and sustainable development.

🔹 Advanced Training of the School Leadership. Prof. Dr. G.T. Lesbayeva and PhD, Associate Professor G.K. Baibash — completed an advanced training program covering key topics such as green economy, climate transformation, and sustainable development. This has significantly enhanced the methodological and organizational framework of all ongoing initiatives.

🔹 Seminar on Innovative Environmental Protection Technologies. As part of the practical training for HSE students, a seminar was held under the supervision of G.T. Lesbayeva. The event focused on modern approaches and technologies in the field of environmental protection.

These activities reflect the strong interest of HSE students and faculty in advancing the green agenda and contribute to the development of key competencies required for future leaders in environmentally responsible business and public administration.
